5 years ago today we left on what we called our Wicked Awesome Sabbatical. We took a leap of faith, quit our jobs, and traveled around the world. We were international for about seven and a half months and then we road-tripped the US for roughly another three. The blog from that trip is here.
After the trip we re-established ourselves back in Boston and in a lot of ways it felt like nothing changed. We got a new apartment, we started working again, we hung out with our awesome friends, and generally enjoyed life. Christiana had (to put it mildly) some re-entry employment ups and downs, but when she started at Wayfair a little over two years ago she said offhandedly: "You know, their EU office is in Berlin."
Well, five years to the day after leaving for our sabbatical, Christiana's first day at the Berlin, Germany office of Wayfair is today. So, we live hier now. Follow along for our German adventures.
